Christina Lantzaki

Currently I am a member of the Information Systems Laboratory (ISL) at the Isntitute of Computer Science (ISC) in FORTH. At the same time I am a candidate Ph.D. student at the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete. On February 2013 I completed my graduate studies (M.Sc.) at the same department, while I conducted my undergraduate studies (Diploma) at the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia.

My research interests fall in the following areas: Instance Matching, Blank Node Matching, Evolution Knowledge Management, Ontology Matching and Linked Open Data.

You can find more information in my Curriculum Vitae.

Software Tools
The Land of blank nodes is is a place where you can interact with a couple of tools that are useful when dealing with blank nodes. Currently the two main tools are: (a) BNodeDelta that compares two RDF datasets that contain blank nodes. Since there is a need to minimize the size of the generated delta, the main feature of this tool is that it offers a preprocessing step that matches the blank nodes of the two datasets. The exported blank node mapping is provided to the diff algorithm in order to furhter reduce the generated delta. (b) BGen is a generator which allows building datasets containing blank nodes with the desired complexity, controllable through various features. The generated datasets can be used to evaluate various methods, like those of BNodeDelta.

Salonica Guide
“Salonica Guide” aims at providing the residents of Thessaloniki with a wide variety of information about Spots found in their city. Building upon the geoinformatics services from Google this service provides the spot addition, different kinds of searching spots (spatially, by category, complex), and a good level of interacting with them.

Personal Info
I was born in Chania of Crete. I grew up there with my family in a nice surroundings, enjoying the city comforts and the contact with the nature. In September 2005, I moved to the beautiful city of Thessaloniki to study for my undergratuate diploma at the university of Macedonia. After I majored in a variety of subjects across the academic spectrum, I found myself compelled to acquire another level of maturity and subject specialization. In Septeber 2010 I returned to Crete to start my graduate studies at Heraklion city. During my Master I mainly focused on Information Systems and specifically the management of data in the Semantic Web. In my free time, I like meeting interesting people and learning crafts.
