Short Bio

Welcome to my home page! I am currently a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at University of Crete and a member of the Information Systems Laboratory at FORTH-ICS.
My major research interests are Linked Open Data, Semantic Integration and Connectivity and Semantic Data Management.
You can find detailed information in my Curriculum Vitae (last update: August 2, 2016).

Services

LODsyndesis

LODsyndesis provides measurements and services that concern the commonalities of Linked Datasets. In particular it provides the number of common real world objects between any set of datasets, where the number of common real world objects is the number of classes of equivalence of URIs after taking the symmetric and transitive closure of the set of owl:sameAs relationships from all datasets.

Awards

RDA Europe - BlueBRIDGE Datathon, June 2017

2nd Prize in RDA Europe - BlueBRIDGE Datathon on Fisheries and Aquaculture with the MPG team: "A tool for integrating the data for fisheries and agriculture into a unique database by exploiting Linked Data"
Team members: Michalis Mountantonakis, Panagiotis Lionakis, George Nikitakis

Hack4Med, May 2014

Hack4Med, the HOMER project Hackathon, held in the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science, 16-17 May 2014, Voutes Campus, Heraklion, Greece. Pavlos Fafalios and I developed and presented the system "Ithaca: From Open Data to Linked Open Data".
