Short Bio

Welcome to my home page! I am currently a graduate student in the Computer Science Department at University of Crete and a member of the Information Systems Laboratory at FORTH-ICS. I have just finished my undergraduate studies in the CSD.
My major research interests are Linked Open Data, Semantic Integration and Connectivity and Semantic Data Management.
You can find detailed information in my Curriculum Vitae (last update: June 28, 2016).

Services

LODsyndesis

LODsyndesis provides measurements and services that concern the commonalities of Linked Datasets. In particular it provides the number of common real world objects between any set of datasets, where the number of common real world objects is the number of classes of equivalence of URIs after taking the symmetric and transitive closure of the set of owl:sameAs relationships from all datasets.

Awards

Hack4Med 2014

Hack4Med, the HOMER project Hackathon, held in the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science, 16-17 May 2014, Voutes Campus, Heraklion, Greece. Pavlos Fafalios and I developed and presented the system "Ithaca: From Open Data to Linked Open Data".

Stelios Orphanoudakis Undergraduate Fellowship October 2013-June 2014

Awarded to the three best undergraduate students of Computer Science department of the University of Crete.
