Hi. I'm Nikolaos Petroulakis and this is my personal web page.
I am a Research Scientist at the Telecommunications and Network Lab, Institute of Computer Sciences , Foundation for Research and Development - Hellas since 2007. I am also a part-time member of Computer Emergency Response Team of FORTH (FORTHcert) since 2009.
I hold a Diploma in Mathematics from the Mathematics Department at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MSc in “ Digital Communications” from the Department of Engineering and Design , University of Sussex , Brighton, UK and a PhD on Computer Science from Schoool of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, City, University of London , London, UK.
My research interests resolve around network security and resource management in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Environments, 5G networking with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV), Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Measurements, Cybersecurity and Privacy preservation, wired and wireless networks, cyber-physical systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML).
Within FORTH I have participated in a variety of European and National projects and proposals.
I am also interested to contribute the results of my research in different conferences and journal publications.
I am also a member of the IEEE and serve as a reviewer for various academic venues in my areas of expertise involved also in a numerous of conference and summer schools’ organizations activities.
